Advocating for Overdose Prevention Centers in New York

Together, we can end overdose deaths.

NO OD NY advocates for the creation of stigma-free Overdose Prevention Centers where people who use opioids can access life-saving medical care, connect to social workers and resources within their communities, and be treated with respect.

Our Campaign

In July 2021, NO OD NY walked 500 miles from New York City to Buffalo in order to raise awareness about the life-saving potential of Overdose Prevention Centers (OPCs) and call on Governor Andrew Cuomo to authorize OPCs in New York state.

“When we’ve lost so many, we can’t afford to lose one more.”

— Ryan Thoresen Carson, Executive Director, NO OD NY
